should prolly read the vitriol before i post but i'm in an internet cafe and don't have a right lot of time and no internets in the studio.
i'm just a raver that somehow got the chance to make tunes for people whose music i really loved from places like Rollers Warehouse / Sanctuary miltonkeyenes, Labyrinth Hackney, Hardware /End and Warning / Junction (broke a knuckle on my right hand in that fucking place!) and Hospitality nights. sorry if the dj'ing side of things snarled things up for people but all i really wanted to do was rave tbh, and more recently, go to raves where my tunes were getting played. that was the best thing about the whole experience recently anyway for me. hearing my tunes out loud with my mates.
i take very few bookings, and the only ones i want to take until i'm as happy about *the sound* of a vinyl dj set as i am about the *the sound* of my tunes, are ones with my multitrack and synth, or the occasional one where the promoter simply wants me regardless. sorry Linus, and sorry drum and bass dj's ... phone's on if you wanna chat about it, or find me in bethnal green anytime.

Considering whats happened, i think most people would have just avoided it and acted ignorant to it. Staying around to apologise takes some stones so i think that deserves some respect.
To be quite honest, i think this has been an eye-opener for you. Although it is all down to opinion, im sure a lot of people will be happy as long as you keep making dnb tunes.

Why did you reply on that thread trying to make it out that the promoter is a wanker for not providing enough room when he did?
You owe him an apology more than anything. Blaming the promoter was dark.
Taking the absolute piss out of something that a lot of us who have spent years working hard upon is one thing but disrespecting the actual art of Dj-ing like it's pointless is another.
You started a thread on here trying to ask people if being a producer or a Dj is more important?
Maybe if you could actually grasp the fact that our dnb scene a a whole is fucking important. The Music, the people, the Djs the Mcs... the promoters.
You have disrespected a lot of people on a lot of levels...
If you seriously only care about the music, or if you care about the reputation of our music scene at all, give your tunes to people who can mix, and leave the Dj-ing to the professionals.
You should just be happy that people enjoy your music. That should be the fundamental thing. Nothing else.
Sorry, it really seems like you think you did nothing wrong. Sincere apologies don't usually start with "Sorry, but..."
You owe no-one on here an apology, but you certainly owe it to the people who've paid to go and see you and the promotors of nights you've done it at. Using the "Im just a raver" line is a bit tired and makes up for nothing if you are taking money for it, pretty much everyone producing and djing DnB is a raver.
For the first time ever, I fully agree with Missrepresent.

Nice of you to apologise but please learn to mix and show some respect for the history of the scene and the ravers. You are in a very lucky position, please don't take the piss.

Anyone that carries on flaming in this thread is a cock.
Yeah innit, he may have taken the piss out of everybody by pretending to mix on one occasion but at least he said sorry so its all good, now hes been clocked Im sure hell learn from his mistake and wont do it again.
and when I say 'on one occasion' I mean 'multiple occasions spread over the course of over a year'.
and when I say 'now hes been clocked' I mean a year ago
and when I say 'wont do it again' I mean 'blame the promotors next time it happens'
We should all definately be bumming the shit out of him now.

This may be so. Only time will tell.
However i was referring to the fact that there is already one thread where he got flamed for 28 pages, so whats the point in continuing here.
In a thread where he is attempting to apologise as well. Whether people choose to believe him or not, get over it.
