Great photo. It's a shame it all kicked off afterwards because it takes some of the focus away from the humiliating defeat. Still, LOL @ scroteman

Everyone’s happy to cheer when someone’s still battering a guy who’s KO’d on the ground in the ring, yet all of a sudden it’s a big deal when a real life scrap breaks out after the match?

Not directing that at anyone in here, but seems to be a lot of hypocritical outrage about this incident

That was better than the ring fight.

I’m not a huge UFC fan but that Ferguson v Pettis fight just before was sick, proper explosive.

no, most people complain when fights aren't stopped quick enough. it's certainly not everyone. again this incident is the same. a minority loving it, the majority condemning.

no point in a rematch other than money so it will probably happen

I doubt McGregor will fancy that again. No amount of wrestling training in a condensed fight window is going to make up for wrestling since Khabib was able to walk.

Lol at Putin calling to tell him he was very proud of him 😂

When did McGregor insult his religion? By offering him a glass of whiskey?

His manager is a “terrorist snitch”, it’s well documented.

he's a hypocrite. if you want to talk shit about respect you have to rise above it. the ways he and his have acted is on par to be trying to take a moral high ground.

Look at rose v Joanna to see what I mean

Who wants to cheer after someone gets knocked out? Nobody I know who watches wants serious injuries or similar. The standard of officiating is crucial for keeping fighters safe in there and generally at the top level they step in at the right time to prevent problems.

A ruck between a huge group after with no rules is completely different. People are pissed cos it was a bad advert for what is in general a sport where people tend to be respectful once the fights are over and has tried hard to get away from the image problem it had years ago.

Not sure about that Rayza, thought it was a quality fight and masterclass from Khabib especially in wrestling which is a big yet under-discussed part of the sport

Completely agree, fact is tho that a lot of casual viewers or people more keen on boxing will find the ground game boring...

True Jawa although both landed a few nice punches, especially the one that Khabib put him down with. I know what you mean about the casual viewers and agree but I loved the work

It's the first time I'd watched in years and I find it very dull when they are just lying on top of each other not doing much, despite how hard it is to do it isn't good to watch. Stopped watching due to a combination of finding half the fights dull and a lot of them a bit too brutal to be enjoyable, boxing has a good balance between violence and safety, I don't want to see someone get repeatedly punched in the face after they are already out cold.

This fight highlighted the fact that Khabib has a fucking granite chin.  He ate a few really good solid lefts from Conor that would've dropped a lot of other fighters but just kept coming forward and firing back. In his fight against Barbosa he took a wheel kick flush to the face and didn't even flinch...  The guy's a complete monster.

I literally said the same thing after it finished. Khabib is fucking awesome. He took some heavy shots but that second round was absolute punishment for McGregor. I think Rogan said that Khabib wanted to change McGregor's face lol.

The venom in that ground and pound was incredible. McGregor got away without it being stopped by seconds tbh.

McGregor came out with a few strikes early in the third, which isn't surprising. Mcgregor isn't a terrible fighter. He just talks too much shit. His conditioning is always asked of him tho.

The tap out, the choke wasn't even under the chin. It looked like he was twisting McGregor's neck. And he didn't let go on the first couple of taps, either lol.

Great fight. I'll watch it again tomorrow.

It wasn't under the chin at all, was purely crushing his jaw. They're fucking painful but he wouldn't have gone out from it.
