UFC / MMA Thread -

Might as well keep everything to one thread.

If there's an event that's just happened and you post about it here before other people are likely to have seen it then make sure you include a blatant spoiler warning.

If you quote a post with a spoiler then put another warning at the top of your own post.

Also it's best to use common sense and avoid reading it until you've watched the event.

TUF EPISODE 7 SPOILER

Ross looked really small compared to the ginger yank, but was good switching levels for takedowns and using the size difference to his advantage. Surprised he ended up landing an arm bar. Looked a bit open on the feet but he was just hyped and rushing about I think.

The yanks really are grating me. That loser with the crap mohawk who cried, what a little turd he is.

Definately, cant believe he beat Stapes. Getting caught on/behind the ear can really fuck you up tho, look what Serra did to GSP.

Good event in Canada tonight too:

MFC 21

-Emanuel Newton (204.5) vs. Trevor Prangley (205.5)
-Mike Cook (234) vs. Bobby Lashley (249)
-David Heath (205.5) vs. Travis Galbraith (205)
-Andrew Buckland (171) vs. John Alessio (169.5)
-Mychal Clark (205) vs. Ryan Jimmo (205)
-Marvin Eastman (204) vs. Aron Lofton (205.5)
-William Richey (232.5) vs. Ryan Fortin (262.5)
-Jeremy Combrink (170.5) vs. Jason Heit (170.5)
-Dwayne Lewis (203.5) vs. Jay Whitford (214.5)
-Nolan Clarke (170) vs. George Belanger (170)

Prangley's an awesome fighter, very underrated, but always seems to fall in the big fights...although I thought he beat Jeremy Horn. Awful decision.

Will be interesting to see Lashley again too. He looked a monster in his first fight, but then went the distance with Jason Guida who really should be at MW, rather than HW lol.

Anyone been following the Dream and/or Sengoku tourneys?

Yeah Stapes was almost out for a moment, but even so I think they hyped him up to be some monster and he just didn't look that good. May have been nerves but he never looked comfotable.

You going to be streaming that? Looks good.

I didn't know what to think about Lashley's first fight, not overly convincing.

I've caught the odd bit of Dream but don't really know whats going on to be honest, haven't usually got time to keep up by watching live events, unfortunately.

Just been readin about Chris Wilson getting robbed at gunpoint in Brazil

Gents sorry to disappoint but Rampage has been pencilled in for being an Ultimate Fighter coach again with the winner of Evans v Machida being the other coach.

Title shot for this will take place in the december card...

fukin sucks such a long wait, i bet lorenzo and dana wite/joe silva are hoping that evans wins against machida so they can see more black on black crime!!

I believe shogun will now face the LOSER of evans/machida!

Stupid way to lose, I agree.

CroCop going back to the UFC... http://www.mirko-crocop.com/?id=4&solo=102

If that's true, I've got mixed feelings. He hasn't looked that great in recent fights, I think he was probably going downhill when Gonzaga KOd him (I hate seeing that). Been one of my favourite fighters ever since I discovered Pride, and being fairly sure his time has passed I don't want to see him get hurt on the big stage again

Cro-cop never acclimatised to the cage but I have no doubt he is still a force. He got caught cold by Gonzaga, just like he did against Randleman but he came back better than ever. Congo was different, he just gassed inexplicably as he sometimes did in Pride and to be fair Congo looks decent.

Hopefully he can put a few wins together and earn a title shot. Would love to see him kick Brock Lesnar's head clean off.

Gonzaga beat him up on the ground for a while before that, he wore Mirko down then KOd him. It wasn't a case of getting caught.

Against Kongo he broke a rib in the first round I think, but still Kongo caused that and would beat Cro Cop again if they fought. He's a freak.

greenfrog, true but once he's done smashing Al Turk's face in he'll get a big fight. Overeem, although much improved these days was beating him up in their fight before the low blow. CroCop hasn't looked good in a long time.
