^ yup.

Fed saying how well Berdych played as well. That must be a bit demoralising to hear if you’ve lost in straight sets.

I’m very happy Fed has had this renaissance. A few years ago it looked like he’d struggle to win another major ever again and now he’s consistently battering people again.

Federer hasn’t really been tested at all so not sure his form is as good as the stats show. Berdych was all over him in the first set but as always Berdych is a head case and folded when Fed snatched the first set from under his nose. It was one way traffic from there.

That said I don’t think anyone left other than Cilic has the game to beat him, and would def back Fed to win that unless Cilic gets angry and starts bullying him with pure power.

That's Fed though. He finds a way to win the key points early on and it wears you down. He's done it to Murray so many times where Murray has been all over him, but Fed saves 15 break points and wins the first set - then Murray is mentally drained and folds for the rest of the match. Fed did it to Cilic at Wimbledon last year as well.

Yeah seems like Edmund might not be 100% fit, but Cilic is superior anyway.

Try vipbox gav

Gonna be Fed in 4 I think, Cilic isn’t at his 2014 level and doesn’t look like he’s good enough to beat Rog when he’s on form

Cilic turned it round in the 4th. Feds serve has deserted him. Looks like we’re getting a 5 setter

Demolition job now. Weird match!

20 slams! Could definitely be favourite for Wimbledon if he can maintain this level as well. Crazy to think 4 or 5 years ago it felt like he'd never win another, and here he is knocking the youngsters over at 36 years old. Inspirational.

Absolutely insane. What a guy. Hope he can somehow get up to 23 and match Serena, or maybe even surpass her

The fact that he’s in tears still after winning is pretty amazing. Don’t want to see the day he retires

Absolute don. Never had any doubt he would win it. He can carry on being the best until he's 40.

Yeah, Murray, Djokovic and Nadal need to spend silly amount of hours in the gym to try outpower him, meanwhile he's just floating around the court with his relatively skinny arms and not much time in the gym. It really does seem a bit baffling how he went 5 years without winning one.

Anyone ever seen him live?

I saw him play Murray at the O2 a few years back and remember chatting to my mate remarking how he's like a chess/snooker player, two moves ahead of the current move.

He just floats around the court, rarely scrambles and 99% of the time, he's just always there, perfectly positioned to play the perfect shot.

i've still never seen tennis live, mainly due to not knowing anyone else into it. May just go on my own soon.

You really should. If you like your tennis, you'll get a buzz out of going to the most relatively minor of tournaments. The UK champs for example. Def check it.

Good mate of mine used to play for Sussex as under 21 and I had a hit with him many times. Staring at a 70-75mph serve makes you appreciate the big boys and their regs 120mph even more.

You can get tickets for the final at the O2 for £150 on stubhub. Seen Nadal v Federer & Djokovic v Federer in finals.

Did the US Open a few years back & got lucky with Djokovic & Nadal playing the final.

To parrot Wakeytom & Beatfreak, get yourself down to an event.
I've been making an effort to go to Wimbledon during the first week every year for the past 4-5 years. If you're in the ground pass queue before 10.30-11am, you'll usually get in for the start of play for the day.
First week means there's some decent players on the outside courts. Guaranteed to see some players just outside the top 8 in the rankings on court 3, which your ground pass lets you into.

Tennis is way more immersive watching it live then on the box.

Did the ATP Tour finals at the O2 one year, saw Djokovic play Berdych and Murray play Tsonga. Most I've ever paid for a ticket to any sporting event, but it was worth it.

Federer had a bit of a shocker just now given his cruise to victory last week. Kokkinakis beat him at his own game.

Didn't hold onto the number 1 ranking for long. Every time he loses these days i wonder if it's the start of his downfall.
