I'd like to think Kyrigos will mature in to an Eddie Irvine type character. Less of a cunt but fully out there with his overall dislike of his sport, but appreciative of the dough, lifestyle and women that it brings.

Sport these days, in general, needs more Eddie Irvines.

Tennis is by far the best sport on the planet.

Agassi also hated tennis from a young age, and he did alright

Agreed, though as far as I recall, he really only started talking about his dislike once he retired, though I could be wrong.

And whilst Steffi Graf had a great physique, facially, he could've done way better

Crowd got in trouble for mocking one of the players relentless squawking in a women's match

Have to rate this, Sabalenka (in the pink) was wailing like a banshee after every shot. Whether it was a slice, an easy volley or a normal rally shot. Different variations of high pitched wails.
It's an obvious cheating tactic imo and I hope it gets outlawed before it becomes the accepted norm.

Example of the wailing here: https://twitter.com/7tenn...53238083910029312?s=17

It was actually during his career, but during the offseason iirc
He goes into it in his book (awesome read btw), but can't remember the specifics

He's 3rd on court after 2 doubles matches so it could be an early one.

Rooting for Kyrgios in the main event.

Nice victory for him there, pressure with the last Brit standing and took it on his shoulders well. He has had some very hard long matches so far so see how much he has for the next

Anything from now on is a bonus but a very good performance against a solid 4th round opponent.

Kyrgios looked like a kid against Dimitrov.

Djokovic/Chung could be good in the morning.

Djokovic, Dimitrov and Nadal all out 😮
Nadal had to retire injured. Guy just did not want to give up even though he was clearly fucked :(

Edmund and Chung absolutely bossed their matches - look like two for the future for sure, especially Chung.

Edmund will take the British number 1 ranking if he wins his semi!

Sad to see Nadal and Djokovic struggle with injury, but also been great to see some young guns really shake things up, I’m enjoying it

Fed v Edmund final would be stupendous. I think Cilic will be just a wee bit too good for Edmund though.

Shame about all these injuries definitely. I worry that Nadal and Murray may never get back to their best. It just goes to show that Fed is the king.

Never imagined Edmund had any chance of getting this far. He doesn't seem to get any publicity here does he? He's as dull as they come tbf

He’s a Saffa by birth

Either way his forehand is ridiculous. Del Potro level power on it.

I read that as forehead

He's a lot more likeable than Murray. I'd still want Chung to beat him in a final.

Chung looking sharp again, still some wayward unforced errors at time though which could hurt him

Gets the first set vs. Sandgren.

Most impressive thing about this guy is his temperament. He is a wall. He plays with the cool demeanour of a veteran, never once looked flustered vs. Djokovic, even when Djokovic was fighting back and breaking his serve. This could make him a nightmare for the more mentally fragile players like Kyrgios and Dimitrov.

I'll be pissed if this American wins.

Kyrgios needs a proper trainer, I know Hewitt has been mentoring him the last few months.

Chung in straight sets. Don't think either Federer or Berdych will enjoy playing this guy in the semis.

Federer batters Berdych and books a semi vs Chung.
Should be a great match, but if Fed serves well I think he’ll do it comfortably. Chung’s serve will get attacked hard too I’d say. Fed will look to keep points short and not get sucked into long baseline exchanges which Chung will relish.

Think Cilic will have too much firepower for Edmund in the other semi, but think this one is harder to call than the other match.

Federer is looking unbeatable. Another slam without dropping a set I reckon.
