Cheers mate. This was a welcome break from all the murder / crime shit we watch relentlessly at mine. I went to bed feeling quite nice and that.

Probably have but have you seen What We Do In The Shadows? Also made by Taika Waititi and it's absolutely brilliant.

What We Do in The Shadows and Wilderpeople are both great.

Thor Ragnarok should be pretty sick with him at the helm.

looks like Neuromancer is finally going to get made-
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/78334

Is the book good? I bought it along with snow crash but haven't got round to it yet.

Snow crash was good, quite like all that cyberpunk counter culture stuff from the 80/90s

I think Boy is his best work. Try to track it down.

Last Seduction.
Bit good innit? Although Linda Fiorentino is basically carrying literally everyone else in it along.
According to wikipedia they'd secured funding for it under the guise of it being a bit of rubbish softcore porn.

"Apparently, a guy from the company who was monitoring things and watching the dailies, saw the suspenders over Linda’s nipples, and shouted out, 'Are we making an art movie?!' He shut down production and called the principals of the movie on the carpet and they all had to pledge that they had no artistic pretensions.

watched under the shadow last night. iranian 'horror' film set at the time of the iran/iraq war of the 80's

say 'horror' as it's more just a couple of jumpy bits, whole story is one big metaphor from what i can tell. remember watching trailer for it a while ago as it had gotten good reviews but wasnt  fussed by it. decent though if not spectacular, glad i watched it eventually

i've not actually seen the Conjuring 1, but the Conjuring 2 was quite good actually... it's the story of the enfield haunting. worth a look if you like scary films.

Has anyone seen this yet? Need to find a stream if possible, really want to watch it. Looks super sick.

For some reason looks like it's got a US cinema release but not in the UK and will only show here when it becomes available on Netflix in 4-6 months. Obviously anticipating a torrent soon but just wanna know if anyone has found it yet. Thanks!

PS. Soundtrack by Oneohtrix Point Never.

I was disappointed with this. Especially after seeing Kermode rate it as his #1 film of the year, much like he did with the brilliant Babadook.

I just found it to be extremely forgettable.

Obi-Wan standalone film apparently in the works... no news on whether he's gonna be young or old, or whether Ewan mcGregor is likely to be cast http://www.hollywoodrepor...director-talks-1030505

I can't wait for WWDITS sequel "We're Wolves", the name alone is brilliant. Also apparently a spin off series. If Waititi is on board, and Rhys Darby, then I have high hopes for both.
