Have you considered cropping it to get rid of the building? Reckon it'd look alot better..

Thanks for the suggestion dude. I actually really like the building in the corner and the pink dreamy tone it has. Kinda thought it set it apart from just a plain silhouette photo.

So i was about to buy the Nikon D850 but ive decided to hold fire because of the Nikon Mirrorless rumours. See what happens with that i guess.

Couple of recent ones i like.

Surf ones been a while in the making and hit a few mags across Europe which I'm well happy with.

Nice one mate.

I've hit a bit of a wall with photography... not really sure where to go with it at the moment.

Thats standard though right? I always go through little periods where i don't shoot/can't be bothered or ill just walk about with my film camera instead. Then I watch something or see something that makes me want to shoot.

It'll come back no doubt.

Oh yeah if anyone needs any prints done, I got that Surf one black and white printed on metal via Loxley Colour. They were sick and much cheaper than anyone else so i highly recommend them.
The aluminium satin printing is proper sick. I will defo be ordering again from them.

I haven't done a lot with my camera recently as I have been too busy doing other things and the only time I have had with it has been on abroad for peoples weddings and posting holiday shots is boring lol. I have been helping out in a derelict bunker for a while to secure it so that it is safe to access, no longer flooded, has electrics for lighting and is clear of detritus, taking photos there is quite fun as there is a lot going on. Trying to get better at taking 'candids' - for want of another word - of people working on things.

I jumped to a D750 a few years ago from a crop camera, the difference is huge!

I mean the D500 is an amazing camera and i decided to keep it as a back up, but the lowlight performance is just a different league.

Totally - you'll never use a tripod again tbh. I take mine with me, and rarely use it. Being able to shoot at ISO1600 with little noise is liberating tbh

I pushed the D850 to ISO 4000 most of the weekend and its pin sharp. +10 noise reduction and you don't even notice any noise. Just editing Lily now: these were 4000 ISO

Yeah, its makes the camera so much more versatile being able to whack the ISO up high and not have to worry about noise! Second shot is great btw.

All the new flicks on this page are nice. I'm off to a venue on Sunday with a load of models and a few local photographers. Hoping it's a good craic

Are they processed from RAW warbey?

Kind of wish I'd started with Nikon now as the quality looks better but I've got about £5k of canon lenses

thank you mate, very kind of you to say so.

the ped one is actually a little bigger but it got cropped for instagram. I'll post up the full one when I can be bothered. the bollard in front of the ped ruins it for me a bit but I loved the guy hanging out the window smoking.

I'm having so much fun waiting for subjects to appear in my shots - since listening to some guy talk about finding your scene and then being patient for a subject to make it a story really resonated with me and it's changed the way I think about taking photos.

hate when something minor bugs you like that. I didn't even notice it and doesn't detract for me. its your photo though I know what that's like

that a cool way to look at things. can switch your stance from frustration at nothing happening to excitement for what might.

Yes mate they are. I was similar tbh. Was thinking of going mirrorless and to Sony (all my glass is nikon) but as soon as this was released i knew i needed it. 9FPS for surf with the battery pack added as well. Its basically the ideal camera for me!

Some shots I took at a photoshoot last weekend. Wasn't expecting it to be like this but it was.
Been invited to another one in a few weeks

This is relevant to my interests...

Don’t take this the wrong way: Think you need to work on lighting a bit. In several of these the person’s face is the darkest part of the image. Another light source of some more off camera fill flash would really transform these.

New Mavic Pro 2 drone released with 1 inch 20mp hasselblad sensor...FNNNNGGHHHHH

Also new Nikon Z7 looks sick. Can’t wait for the Canon mirrorless competition

No, I appreciate that comment. Makes me think more about it
I turned up to this shoot with just my camera not really knowing what to expect.
I dont have any flashes for my camera except the built on one which I hate using.
If we keep doing more shoots like this I'll look into a more professional set up

i'd most likely erect a tripod shooting something like that.
