This was heavy the monday after innovation a couple years ago, Loxy and Trigga or something like that....drinks were pricy as fuck though and they ran out of pint glasses so were serving beers in massive wine glasses lol. They do a Sneeky Sunday too, not sure if it's every sunday tho

    http://partyflock.nl/party/ Take your pick

There are quite rarely dnb & jungle parties in this city. It's all about house, hard style etc..

    Food

Gav I recommend that above all else you go for an Indonesian rice table "rijsttafel". It's a real feast of loads of different dishes to try out. There are plenty of places just depends how far you want to travel. You can just search for Indonesian cuisine on trip advisor. Blauw has a great reputation but is bit out of centre. Make sure to have an appetite beforehand as a rijsttafel is a shit ton of food.

Bakkerswinkel in the red light district does nice sandwiches afternoon tea etc. Decent option when most places there are just pushing pizza slices and doner to bemused Spanish people.

    Beer

Go to this brewery/pub near red light district

    DE PRAEL OUDEZIJDS
Proeflokaal (that means tasting location - not to be confused with the beer shop round the corner)
    Oudezijds Armsteeg 26
    1012 GP Amsterdam
    T 020 408 44 69

Also when in NL try out some Lambiek bier if you see it (Belgian sour beer) some tastes like bile but I love it.

Another place with good beer is the Bierfabriek, a short walk from Dam Square. They also cook chicken over charcoal. Both beer and chicken are delicious but it's often quite hectic in there.

    Cheese

Do a cheese tasting class here (I've sent lots of folks there and they all loved it)

    https://www.reypenaercheese.com/en/

    Weed

Personally always impressed by the gear from greenhouse effect.

    Tours

Go on a canal boat tour after dark. Very picturesque seeing all the big houses lit up on the big canals at night. Can get on either at central station or leidseplein.

    Museums

Rijksmusuem is worth seeing. UV museum is a tiny little oddity in some American stoner's cellar but ideal if tripping.

    Nightlife

Just have a look at what's on at melkweg, paradiso etc

    Transport.

Get an OV chip card when you land at Schiphol and stick a tenner on it to use on trams. Use Uber else. Fuck using normal taxis in dam.

Any questions just shout. I'm not that familiar with dam as I live in The Hague but I'm fairly knowledgeable about NL more broadly

If you go to the back of the train station you can get free ferries. Go over to Amsterdam Noord for the afternoon. Little arty, hipster place

NDSM Warf? Cool derelict boat yard with loads of graffiti, abandoned submarine and houses made out of old street cars. I saw some workers bungee jumping off an old crane down there.

Flevopark is pretty cool too with loads of graffiti where the Street Car line ends and they turn around
