Probably go with this - not had one since I was a kid and they will last most of your adult lifetime

Or more likely this:

Is farmer a look these days?

Paramo are sick, the nikwax technology they use is also sick.

I think it's 'in' at the minute

I was about to buy the bottom one until I seen the one from the last page. They do a Land Rover collection which is nice also

The waterproof lining started to go on my 9 year old North Face jacket recently.  I had heard their customer service is good for stuff like that so I called them up, they gave me a shipping label and I sent it back to them.

Took about 3 months in the end but eventually they sent me a brand new 250 quid Gore Tex jacket as a replacement for nothing..  I had only paid around 160 for this coat originally and it wasn't even Gore Tex.  And I got to keep the fleece part of the original jacket.  I wonder who got the power pack etc.

I will buy their gear again!

Nice barbour will. I've had a Bedale for a couple of years.
Whilst great quality and that, cleaning it and the wax is a pain in the arse.

I like some of these. What's the fit like? I usually have to go for large for the length but being skinny some things are just too baggy (like Carharrt).

You'll be fine with large. I'm pretty sure they're designed in Italy. The quality is excellent.

If you want true waterproof check out Elka. Rubberised like Macks but with smart Danish style cuts.

I really really like that - only concern is the drawstring - they frustrate me, especially when wet.

This.

I think that most people buying something stylish don't even hang about in the rain that much to justify the proper water proofing?

They are functional crossovers originally developed for the police and fishermen etc. The back and pits are vented enough on mine fwiw

Annoyingly this is correct, love this jacket but it makes me sweat like an absolute Turbo Nonce.
Going to Denmark in November so it should be more useful there
