I cant see a boggo E46 M3 getting any kudos as it ages... they built a fucking ton of them. You can't compare it to an E30 M3 FFS

Everything BMW is on the up. Because so many M3s were trashed, good low miles examples have grown in value hugely. Enthusiasts don’t like four pot turbos with semi automatic gearboxes, and the E46 M3 is arguably the high point for naturally aspirated six cylinder manual BMWs (I’ll always think the E9x is too big to be a ‘proper’ M3 - it’s the size of an M5!).

Someone paid £100k+ for an M635 CSI this year, Z3 M Roadsters have risen, Z3 M Coupes are £30-£50k and Z4 M coupes start at £18k and go to £26k.

Part of it’s down to the Porsche market being so overheated, particularly aircooled stuff. A 993 Carrera 2 for £70k sounds silly but they’re out there...

I curtsy to your professional knowledge / experience here then.  I can see this to some degree with the current prices of Escort Cosworths. I paid £13k for a standard one in the early 2000s. The prices of them now (low mileage etc) is staggering.

Even the boy'd up ones are fetching top money.

I thought you were a trader? Surely you could have just gone to a couple of car sites and had a look before you threw your toys out of the pram?

I really want an i8, anyone got or driven one? Saw one for 55k second hand, when they come down a little more I'll be very tempted. Absolutely love how they look and approx 300 mil per charge is sweet.

Electric cars will hit the industry hard as fully electric cars will last for ages with hardly any maintenance. If the chassis and body shell are well protected against corrosion they can go on forever... Replacing an electric motor will be as easy as replacing a brake..

Do it. It's crossed my mind that I could just get a Ferrari instead of a house and rent instead lol.

Buy the right one and you’d lose very little, possibly even make on it 3 years.

Yeah, same.... What put me off was running costs and then I told the missus it was a 2 seater, she shut the entire operation down completely.

So nice though...

Surely given your spend on watches you could easily afford to lease one, they are less than £1k a month for an S

The lease itself is only £200 more than I'm paying on my car ATM, but they are mental dough to run. Tyres/fuel/servicing... everything is ridiculous money.

After yet another 400 quid repair on my A4 today following an 800 and 600 in the last year I'm getting pretty fed up with it and edging ever closer to an electric. Any of you lot driving one? I just really need at least a 300 mile per charge as in reality it will be closer to 200.
