No comments on Josh Warrington?

What an engine. Huge desire too. Some big fights ahead for him.

Also Lomachenko vs Predraza? Pedraza had the perfect game plan. was doing really, really well until Loma Turned it up a notch. Great fight.

Warrington has turned it on to be fair.

I thought he would get found out against frampton but he boxed brilliantly. I'd like to see him in some unification fights this year.

Tbh I won't be staying up for it anyway, trying to keep a somewhat normal sleep pattern at the minute

If i dont stay up i always find out the result somehow the next day before watching it, and then usually cba to see it, so definately staying up for this one, coffee & green combo ftw.

^starts at 2. main event will likely be around half 3.

Gonna lob a tenner on Akavov to beat Andrade tonight at 12's.  Akavov gave Billy Joe Saunders a very tough fight, to the point where some people actually thought he won it.  Soviet fighters are tough, dont stop coming forward and this will be the first time Andrade will be up against a middleweight whos been in with a former champion.

Also the African bum Andrade beat to get the vacant belt actually legit dropped him in one of the rounds - it was infact a double simultaneous knockdown as both traded hooks but the ref only scored it for Andrade 😕

lol. i actually thought akavov won but that was a fat BJS with no trainer (and maybe without his dom ingle PEDS) Andrade will stop him late or win nearly every round.

a better underdog to bet on tonight is unbeaten heavyweight Oscar Rivas mate.

BJS actually came in weighing the same as a cruiserweight in that recent 4 rounder lol.  Dom Ingle defo got links to those good PEDS, Kid Galahad can testify.

Haven't seen any of Oscar Rivas' fights but checked out his boxrec and he looks decent.  I dont really rate Jennings and hes a tad chinny.  Think I'll go with two singles and the fiver double at 45/1.

Yeah I got 7/4 with bet365.  I wanted to see it but couldn't find a stream.  Was on ESPN+ apparently.  Made a small loss on the night coz of the Akavov single and the double.

Gotta laugh at Andrade trying to call out GGG.  If Wolverine can make make him do the funny dance Golovkin would absolutely beat the brakes off him but I've got a feeling he'll join PBC. Andrade is shit to watch as a fan - technically good but just can't seem to up the gears like most champions.

Still can't believe Cano wiped out Linares like that.  Every shot seemed to hurt him.  Great career but really needs to call it a day now before he gets hurt.  Would be pointless going back down to 135.  Didn't even bother looking at the odds for Cano pre fight, must've been huge.

It was on boxnation.
called the late stoppage in the Andrade fight as well
to be fair, apparantly it was a dodgy stoppage so andrade would of won every round on points anyways....Linares was 1/2 just for the KO.

Re: RE: Boxing tonight 2019/01/19 15:09:54 (permalink)
Was a joke stoppage. Akavov wernt even remotely hurt.  He was bleeding a little from his forehead and took two body shots from Andrade before pivoting off to find an angle and the ref stopped it for some reason.  Lou Dibella was going mad and had to be restrained lol.  Akavov wasn't letting his hands go but he nailed Andrade with a big left cross in round 9 and followed it with a left and right hook combo that had Andrade in trouble.  Other than that it was easy work.
