Never liked that. Personally i'd go for Dead Man's Shoes or perhaps This is England but i'm sure there's probably a few very obvious ones that blow them out of the water.

East is East is a personal favourite of mine, too. Kes wins hands down though, superb film.

Dead Man's Shoes is one of the most overrated films ever IMO. Always thought it was very average.
